They come in many shapes, sizes, and colors. The color of the light&nbsp;<strong>depends on the gas in the tube<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neon gives off orange light, but other gases are used to produce other colors, such as hydrogen (purple or red), helium (yellow or pink), carbon dioxide (white), and mercury (blue).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-d63ac850\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Neon Lights In The Bedroom: Pros And Cons<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>3 main pros<\/strong> of neon lights in my view are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-5148fe44\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">1. Aesthetics<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The soft glow and variety of colors of neon light allow for a personalized touch that can complement existing decor or serve as a focal point. Neon lights in the bedroom are best used as accent lighting, meaning decorative light that adds a spark to the existing (functional) lighting scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In that regard, neon lights are an excellent choice for accent lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the important thing to remember for accent lighting is that we must never overdo it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>Pro Tip:<\/em><\/strong><em> Overused accent lighting leads to too much &#8220;noise&#8221; in the bedroom.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Try to install only one neon fixture and see how it fits the overall aesthetics of your bedroom. Usually, it is more than enough and you won&#8217;t need a second one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-4b1b4d57\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">2. Customization Options<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Neon lights offer a wide array of customization options, allowing you to choose specific shapes and words, or even replicate your favorite quotes or symbols. This level of personalization adds a sentimental and unique touch to the bedroom environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a way, <strong>they feel like a non-permanent tattoo for your bedroom.<\/strong> They symbolize something and they add decoration to the room. This is why I urge you to think of what you want your neon lights to be about before you go shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-e9ccc511\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">3. Mood Enhancement<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The soft and warm glow emitted by neon lights can enhance your mood. This placement creates a dynamic and visually striking effect, drawing attention to your decor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, consider LED strips if you want a more modern look because neon lights in this case are more retro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-07f74aeb\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">5. <strong>In corners for ambient lighting<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Utilize corners of the room for ambient lighting, casting a warm glow that complements the overall atmosphere. Consider softer colors like blue to maintain a cozy and relaxing ambiance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Red neon lights are mostly suggested for smaller fixtures and accent lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-fd08d2cd\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">6. <strong>Along the ceiling perimeter<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Install neon lights along the ceiling perimeter for an immersive and encompassing glow. You can see in the image above that red and pink-ish colors create a very raw atmosphere which is not ideal for the bedroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-bd3f77f1\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">7. <strong>Behind transparent or frosted furniture<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For a modern and chic look, install neon lights behind transparent or frosted furniture. This creates a very interesting silhouette effect and adds a touch of sophistication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>Remember:<\/em><\/strong> <em>The key is to balance the intensity and color of the neon lights to suit your preferences and create a comfortable environment. Use bluer colors for ambiance and red for accent (don&#8217;t overdo it!!), while not being afraid of experimenting with different placements to find the perfect configuration.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-361d29c8\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Choose your colors wisely<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The color of neon lights in the bedroom can significantly impact the ambiance of the room. Cooler tones like blues and greens promote a calmer atmosphere, while warmer tones like reds and pinks can add a touch of warmth and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are general rules, however, and you should always follow your heart. If you like the color yellow for example, go ahead and buy yellow neon lights without overthinking it much!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-d1df3ba7\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Wrapping up<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, neon lights in the bedroom are a good choice, especially for more retro-style homes. The truth is that they don&#8217;t fit in well with contemporary\/Scandinavian architecture or traditional houses made of earthly materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, they can be a great and fun addition to your bedroom lighting scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I usually prefer their LED colored counterparts as they are softer and give a minimalism which I&#8217;m personally fond of. But it is important to remember that all lighting plots are made in constant consultation with the homeowner. To each their own, and it&#8217;s very important for you to feel comfortable in your own space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering that you found yourself reading this entire article, you probably want neon lights in the bedroom, so you should go for it!
